Little rescue-kitten Boo has recently been saved from the busy Southside streets of the dark lit and shadowed barrio pavement, noisey with honking friday night cars and swerving shadows that might not be as dark as Boo, but definitely could be much more lethal than this purry little furball.
A Scratchboard Kitty .. Boo Hiding
Our wise art studio landlady spent a whole week setting out traps for Boo, who wasn't named yet, because she'd just seen him sneaking about the curbside brushes but was wise enough to know if she didn't get him safe inside her living room soon, little-soon-to-be Boo probably wouldn't be alive many more street crossings later.
One night after she got home, I came inside the mainhouse after taking a break from starting a huge series of Dias de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) paintings, and there she was, cuddling little Boo in her lap, cuddled beneath a blanket while she drowsily watched T.V.
Episodes of Seinfeld playing in background aren't absolutely necessary for kittens' wellbeing, but it gives them more personality for their adult Barrio Kitty lives!
